The Radical Notion that Children are People

Feminism is often described quite accurately as "the radical notion that women are people."

So what is the radical notion that children are people too called?

I don't know if there is such a word, but I propose we create one. Most people don't even acknowledge that ageism is a serious problem. So I think its important to create some language for discussing it, for bringing into the consciousness of more people, especially the young people.

I read recently that the Lakota word for child is wakanyeja which is translated directly as sacred being.
